Welcome to the new home of Fledgling Gleaners. This site was started on 12/1/09, so is still a bit empty. Come by often and watch us grow!

What are Gleaners?

Gleaners are the "roll up the sleeves, go out into orchards, gardens, etc" people who gather up left over items. They then bring them back to a central location for distribution. Sometimes, we get far more than we have need of, so we bring the items to the local food banks and the public so that nothing goes to waste.

NewsHere are some of our website's special system features: In the upper right corner, you'll see three colored squares. Click them to change to the background color that best suits you. You'll also see a section that says: - A + which is for making the screen text bigger or smaller.

At the very top left corner of the screen, you can see a ghost-like image that says "Skip to Content" - this is for screen readers that some handicapped individuals use, it skips over the graphics. Also useful for mobile devices accessing the site.
